Russell Oakley

Russell Oakley- STEM Recruiter, Co-Founder & Director

With over 22 years of experience in life sciences, clinical, chemical, and engineering recruitment across the UK, EU, and US, I have dedicated my career to connecting top talent with industry-leading organisations. Having worked exclusively in this sector, I have successfully delivered contract, permanent, exclusive, MSP, and Statement of Work (SoW) recruitment projects on various scales.

Along with Graeme, I founded Talent STEM to bring our vision, expertise, and values to the recruitment industry, providing tailored solutions with a fresh approach.

Outside of work, I’m married to Hannah and a proud father of three daughters. Our Whippet, Hugo, keeps life entertaining, when he’s not being lazy! I love spending time with my family, whether traveling, walking, or cooking together. A lifelong music enthusiast, I was a drummer in a band for over 20 years and now enjoy DJing and collecting music.

Graeme Pallas

Graeme Pallas – STEM Recruiter, Co-Founder & Director

With 15 years of experience in STEM recruitment, I’ve had the privilege of connecting talented Scientists and Engineers with innovative companies that are shaping the future of chemical and life sciences. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with organisations ranging from early-stage start-ups to global pharmaceutical and chemical leaders, helping them build high-performing teams that drive discovery.

I pride myself on delivering a high-level, consultative service built on integrity, expertise and a deep understanding of my customers wants and needs.

This commitment to quality led me to co-found Talent STEM with Russ, where we offer tailored recruitment models that go beyond transactional.

Outside of work, I’m a husband to Jayne and a dad to Sophia and Harry - who both keep me on my toes! When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my family on outdoor adventures or out on a walk with Arlo, our Miniature Schnauzer.
